Description
Mutcho Radio Network Alliance is a Federally Incorporated non-profit headquartered in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Its goal is to bring together People of African descent and recent African immigrants to Canada who are interested in sharing their stories with the view of allies who want to advance African descent integration in Canada.
MUTCHO means culture and traditions in the African language, Kirundi.
The language value refers to how it sounds in phonetics and how people of different origins pronounce it.: MUTCHO is from MUCO in Kirundi

We use Mutcho Radio, Mutcho Magazine, and Mutcho mobile to share our rich content.
Our work

History
Mutcho Radio was founded in 2015 as a hub for those interested in hearing the untold stories of African Descent in Canada.
Our Vision:
Establish Mutcho Radio as a leading platform for diverse african descent voices, culture sharing, and impactful professional journalism.
Why do we do it?
Too often, the black community lacks visibility and opportunities in the media industry. We aim to provide a platform for talented media graduates and community members to share their perspectives and showcase their knowledge and capabilities.
By creating relatable, meaningful content, we challenge the perception that African descent individuals are just consumers. Demonstrate that we are also skilled creators and developers. Mutcho Radio Network’s goal is to establish a radio program that delves into the unique experiences and journeys of the Black community in Canada.
Our impact
Mutcho Radio Network Alliance would like to bring African descent strategic partners from all provinces and territories to participate in building an African descent and new immigrants Radio. Our cultures are rich: we are from the African continent, Caribbean, Back Canadians.
We are telling our stories in a bilingual media. French, english:
– Foster stronger connections between African descent communities
– Challenge stereotypes and showcase the knowledge, skills, and capabilities of African descent individuals
– Preserve and share the cultural heritage and narratives of people of African descent in Canada
– Empower the Black community to tell their own stories in their own way.
Through its programming, Mutcho Radio strives to be a trusted, community-driven source of information, education, and inspiration

La Radio Mutcho nous permet de partager des histoires de descendants Africains au Canada. Qu’ils soient issus de l’Immigration récente ou des Afro-canadiens qui ont bâti ce pays qu’est le Canada. La radio Mutcho nous permet de partager nos histoires avec d’autres communautés et de participer à la construction du Canada ouvert à l’Intégration. La radio Mutcho vous présente des histoires des Acadiens, des histoires de la francophonie sur tous les continents qui démontrent la riche tapisserie des cultures transmise en français. Ecoutez différents accents des descents africains au travers de la Musique, les danses, l’artisanat, les contes, livres, la cuisine, le tourisme.
La radio Mutcho partage des histoires intergénérationnelles permet de transmettre les traditions ancestrales et créer un espace à la Nouvelle génération que l’ On appelle GenZ pour une vision vers l’avenir.
La radio Mutcho offre un espace d’apprentissage par le transfert des compétences en création des contenus audio et vidéo: comment gérer un studio ou devenir reporter pour différentes plateformes.La Radio Mutcho est une entreprise sociale basée sur des studios gérés par un conseil d’administration qui veille à la bonne utilisation des fonds et l’impact social de nos émissions.
Pour la réalisation de nos missions, nous avons besoin de votre soutien pour louer un studio, acheter du matériel, payer l’équipe de production et faire la promotion des émissions par le site internet, les réseaux sociaux, la radio en direct et les outils de marketing.
